How do I get to the camp?
Camp Simpirre is in Gotu, about 87 km north of Isiolo town. Drive from Isiolo to Kachuru, 60 km along the Isiolo to Garba Tulla road, then turn right onto the Merti road. The camp is 30 km further, on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro River.

What is near the camp?
Gotu Falls, the Gotu springs with their clean spring water, and the Magado Crater, about 12 km away. The Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves are all within a day's visit.
Who is the camp for?
Anyone who wants a quiet place by the river: guests who want to rest, bird watchers, and groups holding a conference, retreat, banquet, reception or wedding. School and culture groups come for learning visits.
How do I enquire or book?
Send an enquiry through the form on the Contact page, message us on WhatsApp, or call. We reply with availability and rates. There is no online booking yet.
How many people can stay?
The camp sleeps up to 75 guests, in permanent tents, cottages and Boran huts. Events can host 500 people and more.
Can I fish at the river?
Yes. Fishing is allowed at the river. It is free, and there are no fixed time slots.

Where can I see birds?
Around the camp and from the riverside lounge. Simpirre is an Oromo name that means "bird", and the camp's list includes the fish eagle, hornbills, kingfishers, herons and ostriches. Best months: [BEST MONTHS TBC].
